A Matter of Opinion
Can people in relationships agree to disagree more often in a healthy way? Often time we find ourselves feuding over a matter of opinion, but is the time and energy worth it? Is your point of view so important that everyone has to agree with it or can you still exist peacefully with you on one side of a matter and your partner on the other? When it comes to rearing kids and establishing family principles viewpoints need to line up, but for me, the train can often stop there. Even in relationships, we still need to respect a persons individuality. Most relationships that have endured the test of time will attest to allowing your partner to be who they are freely and without judgement.
In essence, don't expect the one you're with to share every one of your perspectives but learn to appreciate the difference of opinions. You may awaken to a broadened horizon.
