You can't always get what you but sometimes the tides roll favor exponentially in your direction and you receive not only what you want but more than you anticipated. In those moments, the results can be so great that you can't help but thinking about what if you would've missed out on such a great moment by allowing fear to detour you. Consider how good your accomplishments made you feel the next time you begin to doubt the next big thing that comes across your mind. Wishful thinking can be transformed into an actual achievement.
This one is a short one but straight to the point. Transform that wishful thinking into reality.
It ain't easy letting go of the one you loved. Yes I said ain't in order to convey my exact sentiment. So even with my grammatical narcissism in high gear I'll continue writing. I received a phone call yesterday from someone I once loved. While listening to his voice through voicemail I tried examining his sincerity. Did he really miss me or was his ego sending him into overdrive due to the distance that I'd established between us? Had he made the changes that we'd spoken about so that we could coexist? After doing a mental audit I began to deviate from the road leading back down memory lane. Although there's a certain level of flattery that accompanies an old flame reaching out, when the feelings are no longer there, clarity abounds. With that being said, sometimes it's better to just let things go entirely. And I'm not just referring to the person but the very thought of that person and all of the "what ifs." If one has truly moved on then what would be the objective in staying connected? I know not everyone will agree with this but your future Mr. or Mrs. might.
Just sharing a personal experience. Do you feel that is beneficial to keep active/open communication with an ex that you at one point had deep feelings for?
A lot has been going on my way, mostly good. Some people have left my life who perhaps shouldn't have ever been there and a renewed mindset has sprung up. I've matured so much in many areas of my life and I'm extremely proud of that. I don't know if there is anything hindering you from making progress but if there is, just look back on all that you could've accomplished and didn't due to procrastination or distractions. I regret the valuable time that I've let go by but I'm making up for it now and so should you.
Spending the passing years of your life running in circles will leave you older with absolutely nothing to show for it. If I’ve learned anything in these past three years, is that my time is both precious and valuable. I can no longer afford the luxury of wasting it or allowing someone else to and frankly, you shouldn’t either.
People come into your life at different times for many different reasons. Experience will teach you with time, how to properly identify their purpose and how to classify them. Over the years I’ve learned to actively examine those who surround me and release them kindly when our season to be apart of each other’s lives is up.
So consider your current atmosphere. The places where you spend time to the people who you spend time with. Is there anything left to give or receive? Is the position meant to be a lasting one? Examine these things for yourself and see if you may be wasting time.
Thanks for reading!
Often times in blogging you suppress the urge to vent in hopes of maintaining a positive persona. But this Sunday was no fun day for me. I was so excited when my fairly expensive laptop started working again but then it suddenly clunked out, and all after a positive Facebook post. I angrily went back to delete it. As I sat there upset I just began to think about how hope sometimes lets you down. And it's not the sporadic hope that I'm referring to but more so when you hope for five or six things consecutively and they all fall through, you kinda just want to hit pause on life while you run in your closet and cry. I won't disclose whether or not I did that LOL. I guess in these moments, you just cry. Let out the frustration, just don't get stuck. You can't get a strike every time so just seize the moment when you do.
Everything that's meant to take place within your life, isn't meant to happen expeditiously. Some things just take time. I know society has created a 'right now' disillusionment but it's our responsibility to see things as they truly are and not just how they appear.
Most things done quickly, usually have to be done again so save yourself some time by allowing certain aspects of life to manifest.
Just in case if you're wondering if I live this explorative life based upon the title, think again! It's more so along the lines of being a personal affirmation. I'm constantly being told by those who know me, 'you really need to get out more.' So since everything is established out of the mouth of two or three, I've decided to take a chance and start doing just that. Now this hasn't transpired yet, but it is certainly something that I'll be working towards. By nature, I love reading and writing and just about anything to do with the arts. Unfortunately, I get a lot of gratification from reading about art sometimes than actually venturing out to view it. Shameful, I know. But bear with me, a change is soon to come.
How about you? What are some new ways in which you can venture out? Or are you too comfortable, as I've been, to even look up and take notice.
Let's not wait until 2018 to start building our to do list, better known as, our new year resolutions. Instead, let's all undertake a new project, travel the world (or even put together a plan or budget to), and wake up an old dream. You're here, so it's not too late!

Normalcy is comfortable and that is why when we're stretched beyond what we've been previously accustomed to, we resist. We resist change, elevation, and promotion because we sometimes experience feelings of inadequacy to advance to the next level. But it's time to start giving God's creation a little more credit then that.
God's design for our lives aren't always predicated upon our current capabilities. When there is purpose on your life for a specific task, He will equip you for it. Have you ever been called to do something that you've never done before and you turn out to be absolutely great at it? Sometimes faith is necessary so if or when you find yourself experiencing negative emotions of 'not enough', use your faith to press through.
Everyone is designed to triumph over the many obstacles that we'll encounter upon our individual paths. But for every obstacle we're equipped through growth, faith, and development.
So don't short yourself. Be encouraged to come out of the box and experience what the life has to offer you.
Through The Challenging Times
At the beginning of each new chapter of your life, you'll find yourself questioning everything. And it isn't necessarily because you're whimsical and unable to make wise choices but more so because questions arise for most who find themselves in unfamiliar territory. Have you ever heard the saying 'each day brings a new trial?' We're in a constant state of learning but it doesn't have to always be difficult.
Half of the difficulty that we experience is due primarily to us not learning from the previous chapter of our life. Consider for example, relationships. How many times have we reinvented the same situations over and over just because we forgot how our choices and behavior negatively affected a courtship? When we actively learn the lesson from previous experiences, we'll be more prone to utilize them in all applicable areas of our lives.
Although challenges may arise that seem unbearable at times, remember that you've already learned some aspect of what you're experiencing currently already. You just have to apply what you've learned. It also may involve you stretching your faith in God more. Just as we grow naturally, we grow spiritually.
God bless you
Learn and Grow
Every season and environment isn't conducive to your growth. Sometimes we become stagnant in life all because we choose to plant ourselves in the wrong place and/or at the wrong time. Timing is truly everything. Take a close look at your life and began to evaluate where you currently are and where you want to be. If there are people or elements in your life affecting your growth and potentially keeping you from walking in your purpose, you need to move them or move you. Always include God in your decision making process.
