There will be times when things do not go our way, but that can sometimes prove to be a good thing. I can't tell you how many times I thought that I wanted something or someone, only to find out that it was better for me to just walk away from it.
So even though you have to walk away from something that you thought you wanted, be grateful that you escaped from what you really didn't need.

We have made it half way through the work week. For the entrepreneur who is working a 9 to 5, that means we have a weekend filled with bringing our creative ideas into fruition to look forward to. For the established business owner, perhaps it's the rest that you're looking forward to. No matter what your title is, we can all agree that Wednesday's make us weekend ready. So with that being said, get excited about finishing up that work project that you've been slacking on because your time to pop the cork is only two days away.

GROWING PAINS

Growing up in the natural sense can be physically painful in our adolescence. I've heard of instances where children experienced leg pains as their limbs began to stretch. As adults, we feel a different kind of pain when we're faced with challenges that alter how we're accustomed to dealing with certain matters. As experience teaches us lessons, we can find ourselves feeling the emotional toil that accompanies growth and change.
Don't let this detour you from becoming your best self. It may hurt initially but the reward of knowledge is invaluable.

Just because the sun isn't shining right now, doesn't mean that you have to dim your light. We all have our individual crosses to bear, but don't allow those moments of affliction to totally dismantle you. There's always light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to keep going to get there.

You've heard the saying, 'Rome wasn't built in one day.' Consider this when you find yourself growing impatient for a lack of seeing immediate results. We don't just arrive at a destined location but we have to make travel arrangements that may include hurdles such as traffic, accidents, climate changes.  Understand that these moments are temporary. You're on your way somewhere.

New Beginnings

It's never too late to start over. We fall, we get up. We fail, so we try again. Don't ever get tired of pushing when it necessitates. All great success stories start off with a learning process that usually includes failing to a certain degree. Don't use these moments to judge and ridicule yourself for trying, but use them as a mechanism for building strength and learning.

I've had to learn that not all things worth while come easy. Habits have to be broken and discipline has to be institutionalized in order to manifest our goals and desires. As we pursue, with determination, to accomplish everything that we've set out to accomplish this year, let's do it with a new mindset. You'll win, even if that means beginning again.

Morning Injection

Everyday brings about a new set of challenges, goals,  and conquest that we must face. Starting your day off with a dose of positivity can often aid in dealing with them in a more graceful and grateful way.
The things that challenge us, makes us better people. The goals that we set for ourselves, stretch our potential. The things in which we conquer, builds our strength.

Each morning, be attentive to the thoughts that first come to mind and then inject them with some positive affirmations. Perhaps an encouraging scripture. It'll change the outlook of the day.
