One of the hardest things for some to conceptualize is not fully having a set destination. When it comes to material things, we know what we want. We understand in order to acquire certain possessions that we must earn a certain amount of money. But not having a purpose beyond the material will leave you feelings like a passenger on a plane going anywhere and not knowing what awaits you once you land.
With so many opportunities being thrown from every direction it’s not surprising that a lot of us become confused after thinking that we knew exactly what we wanted and exactly how to attain it. In order to coop with the now vast amount of opportunities that has befallen upon us, we’ve created ways in which to guide us on this life's journey. New year parties have transpired into vision board parties. So how does one accept not having a full grasp on their future?
In my own experience, I’ve learned that patience wins. Losing or having a door closed is life. Trying something and not having it work out exactly how you envisioned is inevitable. It’s not easy but it’s passing and it’s apart of our journey. There aren’t that many success stories that are straight without any twist and turns along the way. Try new things and don’t feel so pressured to get stuck in order to please others. Making yourself a priority isn’t selfish but self helping. Morning prayer also aided me tremendously. My mind expands when I pray and a lot of the tension and stress that I experience on occasion is alleviated. Try it, it works!
