So this morning I started things off with my normal glass of water but then went on to enjoy some awesome ginger tea. If you've ever had it, you know how absolutely rejuvenating ginger tea can be. If you didn't already know, ginger tea has a lot of health benefits starting with giving your digestive system a jump start. Ginger is a flowering plant that is widely used as a spice or medicine. It's composed of water, protein, carbohydrates, and a small amount of fat. What makes it good for the digestive system is its phenolic (carbolic acid)  properties. 

I made my ginger tea with some apple cider vinegar, lemon, ginger, and parsley. Parsley you ask, yes! I'm loving this new wave of GREEN where we're getting back to plant life and incorporating more natural elements to heal and restore our natural bodies. 

Whatever your morning routine includes, you may want to consider adding this one to it. Take some time to research some of the foods that you consume on a regular basis. You may find that you need to add to or take away some things. Although natural foods are excellent for you, it can interfere with certain medications. You should always seek advise from your physician before altering your diet when you have medical concerns.
