Day two of my seven-day raw detox came and went with a few hiccups. There's one thing in particular that I've noticed about fasting and that is to keep your environment, meaning the personal space in your head, as serene as possible. Agitation can have the most negative impact on fasting. My resolution is to do a little praying and meditating to help refocus your attention towards what you're trying to accomplish during the detox.
I didn't consume as much food as I should've today. I started the morning off with some lime steeped in water and ate almonds throughout the day. Around lunchtime, I had some gherkins and pearl tomatoes. I also made sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day in order to stay hydrated and ward off headaches.
Emotionally, I felt like I was on a bit of a roller coaster. I would have some up moments and some downs ones where I questioned exactly why I was doing the detox in the first place. Thankfully, I was able to overcome the lingering doubt. Mental clarity, strength, and will power. As far as my energy level goes, I've still been able to muster up enough to work out without any dizziness. There was a time in the day that I did grow a little tired and took a nap.
Day two down...on to day three!
